“I love these machines” Steve Morris Builds Custom Engines with Rottler CNC Machines

February 6, 2025

On this episode of the Rottler Featured Series, join us at Steve Morris Engines in Muskegon, Michigan where Steve and his son, Kyle, give us an inside look at the shop setting Drag and Drive racing records on a weekly basis.

Steve started out doing Dart cylinder heads, but these days he’s building his own billet blocks and cylinder heads. Boosted, Turbo, all of it… And being “Mr. Drag and Drive”, Steve Morris Engines are both high horsepower and built to last.

Naturally, an engine builder and driver with as many records as Steve gravitates to the best engine building equipment, so his shop is home to a number of Rottler machines, including the F69 multi-purpose automatic CNC and the H8AX automatic hone (which Steve affectionately refers to as “one bad dude.”)

We’re proud to know that Steve Morris thinks of us as *THE* high end engine equipment company, and that where there’s a Steve Morris Engine winning races, there’s Rottler machinery helping to do it.

Oh, and the next time a mid-90’s Chevy Caprice station wagon blows by you on the freeway, don’t worry, that’s just Steve on his way to a race.

Check out the video! And, for Steve’s insider tips on building race-winning engines, check out Steve’s YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/@stevemorrisracing.
