Kent, WA & Mooresville, NC — Since 2012, Roush Yates Engines has relied on the Rottler Manufacturing for block honing and machining equipment.

Roush Yates Engines utilizes the Rottler H75A to manufacture the NASCAR Ford FR9 EFI and FORD FR9 Carb engines that are used in over 25 Ford Cup, Xfinity and World Camping Truck race cars most weekends. These engines have brought home NASCAR championships, Daytona 500 wins and have been driven by NASCAR Hall of Famers.

The H75A has been specifically developed for performance engine manufacturing. Its state-of- the-art diamond/CBN honing system provides a seamless and reliable process. It is able to produce high capacity output with precision calibration. The H75A is able to hone an entire V8 block automatically, improve our tolerances and finish, and improve our overall production efficiency and run time.

The Rottler H75A has a linear stroking system, a true up and down stroke which ultimately improves overall engine performance, which is a key characteristic in winning races.

The F69A is used in the production of the 24 Hours of Le Mans winning twin-turbo Ford EcoBoost V6 race engine. This engine is one of the world-class engines Roush Yates Engines and Ford Performance partner together on. It is the power under the bonnet of the Ford GT race car and is raced around the world in the IMSA (International Motor Sports Association) and FIA (Federation Internationale De LÁutomobile) series.

According to Roush Yates Performance Engine Group general manager Jon Giles, Rottler was specifically sought out due to numerous advancements offered by the Rottler F69A. This programmable and automatic machining center, which features dual operating systems. The first (the Rottler System) is for easy programming of common jobs, while a second CAD/CAM system is for advanced CNC programming for making parts, engraving names, and much more.

“One of the biggest advantages to the F69A, is it’s versatilely”, said Dave Bullock, Roush Yates Performance Engines Group Production Manager. “This allows us the flexibility to do multiply operations with a signal set up.”

Rottler’s advanced designs and equipment continue to meet the most demanding engineering needs of engine builders and remanufacturers around the world.

“In a business where engine performance is key and failure is not an option, we rely on Rottler Manufacturing for competitive advantages and consistencies to build race winning engines each and every week,” noted Todd English, Vice President of Business Development.
